I am applying for uni and need advice on the personal statement.?

I am going to be taking a computer science course at Chelmsford uni and would like any advice anyone has on the personal statement that needs to be written.

Also any other information would be appriciated! Thanks people xI am applying for uni and need advice on the personal statement.?
1) Make yourself sound intelligent (this is not a joke - I mean it - use big words etc).

2) Call up the Uni, and ask to speak to one of the lecturers on the course and ask for their advice - you'll find them surprisingly helpful.I am applying for uni and need advice on the personal statement.?
Having just written a dozen personal statements myself, here are a few of my suggestions. The first thing to do would be to spend a good 30 minutes googling personal statements. There are so many amazing websites out there and many of them would have links specifically for students applying to a computer course. There are also tons of sample essays where u can possibly 'borrow' a few ideas to write convincingly.

A few pointers would be to use as many adjectives as possible, coz they tend to enrich essays. And also, try to cover the 3 most important questions:

- Why do you want to do this course? (Try to sound as passionate as possible).

- How can you contribute to this field? (Be innovative. Try not to use cliched phrases).

-What are your most interesting traits? (Why shoud Chelmsford choose you instead of 100s of other applicants. Try to stand out).

Most importantly, edit edit and edit. Ask another writer to read through your essay, you'll need a fresh eye to catch the nitty gritties.

And if possible, leave the finished essay untouched for a couple of days and try not to think about it. When you look at it again, you'll find that you can make changes to your essay that can drastically improve it.

And most importantly, all the best!!
try is link below. its sample personal statements. but dont plagarise.
Calling the Uni is a good idea, it shows that you are really interested. Ask them what they want to hear about not what you think they want to hear about. There must be some guidance with the form.
