Needng some medical or personal advice about pain meds?

I suffer from cronic pain in my spine, My doctors have given me lots of different pain meds but the problem is I feel that my body has gotten so used to the pain meds they seem not to do as much for me my question is I have taken tylenol 3 with codeine (makes me sick to my stomach) hydrocodone ( makes me vomit) tramadol (does absoulutely nothing for me) and Darviset (does not seem to do anything but give me energy when i want to sleep ) So I would like to know if there is any other pain meds out there that are either stronger or maybe ones that I have nt tried that i could tell my doctor

Greatly appreciate everyones help

Is it neuropathy or nerve-related pain? If it is, you may want to try Neurontin. It helped me a bit after my back surgery. I could not tolerate any opiate painkillers. You may also want to investigate a TENS unit (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation...see here for more info: http://arthritis.about.com/od/assistived鈥?/a>

or an intrathecal pump (http://www.painmngt.com/education/INTRAT鈥?/a>

Your best bet may be to go to a pain management specialist to be evaluated and treated.Needng some medical or personal advice about pain meds?
tell your dr to send you to a pain specialist...the fact is yeas there are stronger drugs out there but with in a few months you will be in the same boat you are in now......they will not work as good as they did the first time...a pain specialist can do combinations of drugs or since its your back they may even be able to do like a spinal block where you just go in for an injection into your spine everyso often...just a thought its worth looking into
ask your dr. about pain patch, ive heard it works better than any pills, and you only wear 1 a day.
Valium, Percocet, Vicodin, Oxycontin, and Toradol are u few u did not mention. You could also ask for anti-emetic, which is a fancy term for something that prevents nausea. Zofran, for example, is a tab that dissolves under ur tongue. You can take that 1/2 -1 hour before you take your pain meds to prevent nausea/vomitting.
Have you tried the cortisone injection in the spine area ? You can take a series of three every 6 to 8 months. It took into the second series before mine helped, but they work great now. I get them maybe once a year now and have waited as long as 14 months between shots. . See a doctor that treats arthritis for them..
I would talk to a competent acupuncturist. Mine has stopped almost all the pain from my fibromyalgia w/o drugs and I have had it for over 20 years. Good luck. There are better answers than drugs!
